"The Lucifer Conspiracy" is dedicated to the great minds that influenced my way of perceiving the world including everything within and everything beyond, most notably Arthur C. Clarke for opening my eyesabout mankind's potential and being at the origin of this album's title, Carl Sagan for making awe inspiring science available to the masses, and Richard Dawkins for convincing me to give up on cowardly agnosticism in favour of adopting unadulterated atheism. |

"Pop Music" is his overall fourteenth CD, but already the sixth one for this year. And still this new release marks a new beginning, replacing the previous long improvisational pieces with more concise and reproducible songs. The opener "Mirror Ball" was already featured on the previous double-album "XIII", but due to its undeniable pop appeal it was decided to give it a second chance in a more accessible environment. "Toxygen 3" is the third take at a song originally recorded by crashzendo on an Omnichord and back then only released on their Myspace page. Two more versions, both performed on the QChord, can be found on the secretSpeech albums "The Origin Of Pisces" (2007) and "Locked In Silent Monologue" (2009). Although this is the fourth version, it is actually a third one as it was mostly done on the Korg Electribe EMX-1 this time. The remaining songs all move between upbeat dance rockers and brooding meditative dark ambient tracks, altogether giving a representative view of where secretSpeech is locating himself on the musical landscape at the end of the year 2009. |
